Checked Baggage Policy

Salam Air checked baggage allowance is 2 pieces, each must not exceed 32 kg in weight & size for must be under 160cm (width + depth + length).

  • Each piece of baggage must be clearly labeled with the passenger’s name and contact details. 
  • You are advised to declare valuable items such as jewelry, electronics, and important documents during check-in to ensure they are covered under the airline’s liability policy.

Cabin Baggage Policy

As per Salam Air hand baggage allowance, you can carry one piece of 7 Kg, with dimensions (56cm x 45cm x 25cm).

  • In addition to the standard hand baggage, you may carry a small personal item such as a laptop bag, a small plastic bag, or a handbag within the dimensions of 25cm x 33cm x 20cm.

Excess Baggage Policy

Salam Air’s extra baggage policy allows you to carry excess luggage over the free allowances with the applicable fees.

  • Salam Air offers the option to pre-purchase an additional 10kg or 20kg baggage allowance during the booking process or at the airport. This allows you to manage your travel needs more flexibly and avoid last-minute excess baggage fees.
  • You will need to pay a fee for excess baggage to Salam Air for any luggage that exceeds the weight or size limits of the free baggage allowance during check-in.

Salam Air Policy for Lost, Delayed, and Damaged Baggage

In the unfortunate event of baggage issues such as loss, delay, or damage, Salam Air’s baggage policy has established procedures to assist you in such instances. 

Lost/Delayed

If your baggage is lost or delayed, report it immediately at your destination airport’s Salam Air baggage services desk.

If your baggage is not found within 21 days, it will be declared lost, and you will get compensation according to Salam Air’s policies.

NOTE: For baggage lost or delayed, Salam Air will provide you with a Property Irregularity Report (PIR), and contact details of local baggage service team.

Damaged

If you receive damaged baggage with Salam Air, report this before leaving the airport. Keep your boarding pass, ticket, and baggage claim tags handy for reference.

NOTE: For damaged luggage, Salam Air will provide you with a Damage Property Report (DPR) and contact details of local baggage service team.
