Passengers need to understand the Envoy Air baggage policy before flying with them in order to avoid any last-minute hassle related to luggage. As there are certain restrictions that the airline imposes under their luggage guidelines. It is also important for the passengers to understand that Envoy Air was formerly known as American Eagle. 

Envoy Air Baggage Allowance:

Passengers flying with Envoy Air are allowed a certain amount of luggage that may limit size, weight, and number. These limitations depend on the destination of the passenger, fare type, reservation date, and more. 

Envoy Carry-on Baggage Allowance:

The following are the conditions for carry-on baggage for passengers flying with Envoy Air:

  • One carry-on bag is allowed for each passenger
  • Maximum weight limit for carry-on bag: 45 pounds or 20.4 kg
  • Maximum size allowed for carry-on bag: 14x9x22 inches (35x23x56 cm).

Envoy Checked Baggage Allowance:

The checked baggage allowance with Envoy Air is based on the flight destination chosen by the passengers. The baggage allowance is mentioned below:

For Domestic USA flights:

  • One checked baggage is included in the ticket
  • Maximum weight limit for checked baggage: 50 pounds or 22.7 kg
  • In the case of a second bag, a fee ranging from $25 to $90 is applicable 

For international flights

  • One checked baggage is included in the ticket
  • Maximum weight limit for checked baggage: 50 pounds or 22.7 kg
  • Maximum size limit: 62 linear inches or 157 cm
  • In the case of a second bag, a fee is applicable which will vary for each destination

Special Items:

  • Sports equipment and musical instruments are allowed but must be notified beforehand.
  • Additional charges may apply for special equipment

Know about Envoy Air Baggage fee/charges:

If the baggage carried by passengers is above the standard weight or size limits then they are considered oversized and overweight, incurring excess fees. Fees apply separately for oversized and overweight bags. In case the bag is oversized and overweight both then fees for both categories apply.

Oversized Bags Fee:

Passengers cannot check in bags exceeding 126 inches/320 cm and 32 kg. Excess fees are charged for each oversized bag based on the selected route.

  • Between the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Canada:
    • Fee: $200
  • Mexico / Caribbean / Central America (except Panama / Guyana / Suriname):
    • Fee: $200
  • Panama / South America (except Guyana / Suriname):
    • Fee: $150
  • Europe, Israel, Qatar:
    • Fee: $150
  • China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, Australia, and New Zealand:
    • Fee: $200

Overweight baggage fee:

Passengers carrying bags weighing more than 100 lbs or 45 kg will not be accepted by the airline. However, passengers in premium cabins can check in two bags, each weighing up to 32 kg without any charges. Other passengers must adhere to this weight limit.

Note: Complimentary bags may not be allowed on codeshare flights with partnered airlines.

  • Europe, Israel, Qatar:

    • Not Allowed for 71 lbs / 32 kgs – 100 lbs / 45 kgs
  • China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, and Australia:
    • 51 lbs / 23 kgs – 70 lbs / 32 kgs: $100
    • 71 lbs / 32 kgs – 100 lbs / 45 kgs: $450 (Not permitted on flights to/from Australia)

Envoy Airline Military Personnel Baggage Allowance:

Active U.S. military personnel traveling on orders can check five pieces of baggage for free. When traveling on personal business or pleasure, they can check are allowed the following allowances:

  • Three pieces of baggage for free.
  • Each checked bag within the free allowance can be up to 62 inches and weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • One oversized/overweight bag up to 100 lbs and 115 inches is allowed for free when traveling on orders.
  • Military order documentation must be presented for oversized/overweight bags.
  • The 70 lb. maximum bag weight limit for Europe and Asia doesn’t apply to U.S. military baggage if traveling on orders.
  • Baggage fees and policies are subject to change at any time

Envoy Air Baggage Restrictions:

Envoy Air’s official website doesn’t have set rules or guidelines for items that are restricted while flying them. However, below are the general restricted items listed:

  1. Sharp objects: Such as knives, box cutters, scissors, and razor blades.
  2. Firearms and ammunition: Unless properly declared and stored in checked baggage.
  3. Explosives and flammable items: Such as fireworks, flares, gasoline, and lighter fluid.
  4. Liquids and gels: In containers larger than the permitted size (usually 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters) unless placed in a clear, quart-sized bag.
  5. Self-defense items: Such as pepper spray, mace, and stun guns.
  6. Sporting goods: Including bats, golf clubs, and hockey sticks.
  7. Tools: Such as crowbars, hammers, and drills.
  8. Hazardous materials: Such as bleach, paint, and pesticides.
  9. Medical and personal care items: With certain restrictions, such as large quantities of medications or sharp medical instruments.
