• You can also carry a small personal item with dimensions not exceeding 43cm x 16cm x 33cm (17” x 6” x 13”) and under a weight limit of 10kg. The personal item can be a briefcase, laptop, purse, or garment bag.
• The carry-on baggage on Canada Airlines should be kept in the enclosed storage compartment or under the seat in front of you, so it is important to follow the size guidelines. 

Checked Baggage Policy

Canada Jetlines baggage fees for the first and second checked bags are CAD 50.00 and CAD 75.00, respectively.

• For instruments too delicate for the cargo hold, it’s advised to check the airline’s website or contact them directly for guidance. Some may not be suitable for checked baggage.
• The airline may ask for proof of insurance for delicate instruments and will assess if the coverage is adequate. This is to ensure the value of your instrument is protected during transit.

Canada Jetlines Polled Baggage Policy

According to the Canada Jetline baggage policy, when two or more passengers are traveling together to the same destination on the same flight, then the airline allows you to combine your baggage allowances. • Oversized baggage over 62 inches but under 115 inches is subject to a CAD 100.00 fee.
• Overweight baggage between 51 lbs and 70 lbs is charged CAD 25.00
• Items between 71 lbs and 100 lbs are subject to CAD 100.00 charges.
• Bags both oversized and overweight are charged CAD 100.00.

Canada Jetlines aims to deliver delayed baggage within 24 hours after they receive it.

Lost or Damaged Baggage 

When your baggage is lost or damaged, you should report this immediately to a Canada Jetlines representative as soon as you notice that your baggage is missing or damaged.

Refunds for Baggage Fees

If your baggage is delayed, lost, or damaged, Canada Jetlines will refund any fees you pay to check your baggage.

Does Canda Jetlines compensate for damaged luggage?

Canada Jetlines has a liability limit for issues related to baggage. This includes destruction, loss, delay, or damage. The maximum compensation you can receive is 1,288 Special Drawing Rights, which is about CAD 2,350. This limit is the same for most international flights and domestic flights within Canada.

If you incur any expenses because of the delay or loss of your baggage, you can claim reimbursement. Make sure to keep all your receipts, and you must submit these to Canada Jetlines within 21 days from the day your baggage is finally delivered to you.
